My colleagues and I are busy at work now that the 152nd General Assembly is underway! Down in Dover, we are working tirelessly to improve the lives of all Delawareans.

In Delaware, our regular legislative session runs each year from the second Tuesday in January through June 30. City of New Castle Local Elections
Saturday, April 15, 2023
8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Calling all City of New Castle residents — the election for City of New Castle Mayor and City Council are held on the second Saturday in April every other year. Learn more about how to vote here: https://newcastlecity.delaware.gov/elections/

Easter Parade
Sunday, April 9, 2023
1 p.m. on The Green

The New Castle Hundred Lions will once again hold their annual Easter Parade on the Green. Don’t miss the candy, fun and prizes! This New Castle tradition is sponsored by the New Castle Hundred Lions Club.

As you are working on filing your taxes this year, please remember that all $300 checks issued by the Delaware Rebate Relief Program will NOT need to be reported on your 2022 tax filings.

In January, we passed House Bill 25, which ensured that the payments disbursed to Delawareans would not be taxable. The IRS recently released guidelines reaffirming this, which you can read yourself here.
