Democrat Nicole Poore Enters Race for DE State Senate, 12th District

Nicole Poore announces her Candidacy In front of more than 100 Supporters


NEW CASTLE, DE — June 11, 2012
— In front of more than one hundred supporters, New Castle resident Nicole Poore announced her candidacy for Delaware State Senate, 12th District on June 8, 2012. Campaigning for change in the 12th District, Democrat Nicole Poore will challenge Republican incumbent Dorinda “Dori” A. Connor for the Senate seat.

As a lifelong Delaware resident and parent of a child with special needs, Nicole Poore knows the issues that 12th District families face. Through firsthand experience, she fully understands the need for improvement in Delaware’s healthcare and educational systems, and she directly relates to the struggles that families face every day. She will be a legislator that listens to and advocates for her constituents, and she will use her experience, network, influence, and superb communication skills to bring issues directly to those who have the power to make a difference.

“It is time to look toward the future for residents of the 12th District because change will mean progress,” said Poore. “I fully accept the challenges ahead, and I am prepared to be the strong voice that my constituents need.”
